Audrey Wagner scrapbooks : scrapbook, 1943-1950.

Three of five scrapbooks created by Audrey Wagner (vol. 1-3) concentrating on the 1946-1948 seasons of the Kenosha Comets, a team in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. They contain newspaper clippings, newspaper photographs, game accounts, statistics, and box scores. Items of note in vol. 1 (1947) include several clippings on Wagner and a original pencil cartoon at the front of the book titled "1947 season" which depicts a caricature of a baseball fan. Items of note in vol. 5 (1946) also contain several clippings on Wagner. (Cont.) One of five scrapbooks created by Audrey Wagner (vol. 4) is a collection of black-and white photographs (1943-1945) with the exception of one color photograph of the Kenosha Comets, a team in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. It includes indivdual player photos (both in uniform and street clothes), team photos, and other miscellaneous photos. The creator of the scrapbook also provides editorial comments and on the first page of the book there is a All-American Girls Professional Baseball League logo. (Cont.) One of five scrapbooks created by Audrey Wagner (vol. 5) concentrating on the 1950 season of the National Girls Baseball League. Contains newspaper clippings, newspaper photos, game accounts, statistics, and league magazines. Also contains black-and-white photographs, a few clippings on Wagner, and two ticket stubs from the 1950 Major League All-Star game.
